Question 1

Where is idronesia.id located and can I pick up the drone in person?

Accepted Answer

Our base and workshop is located in Batubulan, Gianyar, Bali (conveniently accessible from Sanur, Denpasar, Ubud, and Kuta). You can collect the drone directly via self-pickup at our workshop or choose direct delivery & pickup at your hotel, villa, or resort across Bali (delivery fee calculated based on distance from Batubulan).

Question 2

What documents and deposit are required for foreign visitors to rent a drone?

Accepted Answer

We only require a digital copy of your international passport and your Bali hotel or villa booking confirmation. We do not hold your original passport. A refundable security deposit is settled upon handover and returned upon safe return.

Question 3

Do I need an Indonesian drone license or special permit to fly in Bali?

Accepted Answer

For recreational vacation flying with sub-250g drones (such as DJI Mini 3 Pro and Mini 4 Pro), foreign tourists do not require a special pilot license. You simply need to follow standard Indonesian aviation rules (DKPPU): fly below 120m (400ft) and keep visual line of sight.

Question 4

Where am I NOT allowed to fly in Bali? (No-Fly Zones & Cultural Rules)

Accepted Answer

Drones are strictly prohibited within 15 km of I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS), military bases, and directly over active Hindu temple courtyards during religious ceremonies. We provide an interactive Bali fly-zone guide highlighting safe locations.

Question 5

What equipment and accessories are included in the rental package?

Accepted Answer

Every rental is a complete Fly More Combo: drone, remote controller, 3x high-capacity batteries (90–120 mins total flight time), multi-battery charging hub, high-speed 128GB MicroSD card (U3/V30 for 4K 60fps), spare propellers, and protective travel case.

Question 6

What happens if the drone is accidentally damaged or crashes?

Accepted Answer

Our fleet is supported by official manufacturer parts. For minor accidental damage during responsible operation, repair costs are kept transparent. In the event of total loss or water damage, the renter is responsible for the replacement fee as outlined in our rental agreement.

Question 7

Can I hire a professional English-speaking pilot instead of flying myself?

Accepted Answer

Yes! If you want to relax and appear in the video together, you can book our licensed English-speaking drone pilot to accompany your Bali trip to Nusa Penida, Uluwatu, or Ubud and deliver color-graded 4K cinematic footage.

Question 8

What payment methods do you accept for international visitors?

Accepted Answer

We accept Wise, Visa, Mastercard, Revolut, PayPal, Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) cash upon delivery, and QRIS / local bank transfers.

Question 9

What is your policy if it rains heavily or wind is too strong on my rental day?

Accepted Answer

If tropical rain or severe high winds make flying unsafe on your booking date, we offer 100% free date rescheduling or itinerary adjustments so you never lose your rental value.

Question 10

How far in advance should I book and how fast is delivery?

Accepted Answer

We recommend booking 1–3 days in advance during Bali's peak holiday seasons to secure your preferred drone model. Same-day urgent delivery is also available depending on unit availability.
